Duckfat

Seems like every time I visit Portland I have one thing on my mine: Duckfat.

I love visiting Duckfat year after year, summer after summer. While the place has changed in terms of an expanded menu and a busier lunch time crowd, I am happy to say that in the five or so years that I have been stopping in here, the consistency has remained the same - hot crispy belgian style fries with a variety of sauces, and warmly pressed, creative sandwich offerings.

The food (and drink) speaks for itself.

Mint & Lime Soda

Hand-Cut Belgian Fries with Garlic Aioli and Horseradish Mayo

Duck Confit Panini - Duck Confit with Napa Cabbage and Carrot Slaw with sweet chili sauce

Duckfat is fantastic. Creative sandwiches, Belgian fries fried in duck fat, beer, wine, house made non-alcoholic beverages and milkshakes. Mix and match for some great combinations.

Duckfat is a personal favorite of mine, and a place I think everyone visiting the Portland area should check out!

  6. That panini DOES look incredible! I went for the first time earlier this summer and luckily went with a group of good eaters. Everything was great, but especially the charchuterie and chilled borscht. Can't wait to get back there!
