Nunan's Lobster Hut

"Our lobster dinners are served the same way they were in 1953. Fresh, locally caught lobster, cooked to order, no frills, simple and delicious."

Nunan's Lobster Hut in Kennebunkport is as simple as it gets. Picnic tables, no reservations, cash only. There's even a sink in the dining room for you to wash up.

The menu is simple, as well. Steamers, Lobsters, Chowder. They also have a garden salad, burgers, sandwiches, but the focus is on the lobster - and it's what they do best.

We started with a plateful of steamers (served with butter and broth) and I had a house root beer.

The lobsters are served with the most simple accompaniments - a bag of Lays potato chips, a roll with butter and pickles. The lobster is boiled, and served on a metal dish with a container of melted butter.

Cooked to perfection, the lobsters at Nuna's were most likely caught the same day. It's as fresh as you can get!

Simple and satisfying.
