Ole!!

One recent Sunday we walked and walked and walked, until we were so hungry we couldn't walk anymore. OK, not entirely true. The walking stopped when I realized we were in front of a Mexican restaurant because that meant one thing: guacamole. You see, there are some thing I cannot live my life without, and avocados are one of them. Trying a new place was an extra bonus.

Especially such a fun looking place.

I started with a Pacifico. Beer, another thing I just can't live without!!

Chips, salsa and guacamole (obviously) were the appetizer of choice. This guacamole was good, but I prefer mine with a little more of a kick. Still, freshly made (table side) guacamole is hard to come by and I really enjoyed it.

We also had an order of tamales:

And corn:

I am NOT a corn eater, but we ordered this anyway and I did like it - but eating corn off the cob is still one of my least favorite things.

With fish tacos:

These had a kick -just what I was looking for in this meal- and they were only lightly battered, perfect and not heavy!

The best part of this meal is that I left feeling satisfied, not stuffed and grossly full. If you're ever in the area, I recommend checking out Ole!
