Vianne Chocolat

Chocolate: what's not to love? Can anyone say no to chocolate? I don't think so!

Some time last week I saw on Twitter that a company, Vianne Chocolat, was offering samples to local bloggers. Vianne Chocolat is a local company, with chocolate made from local ingredients, started by a woman named Valerie Conyngham.

I jumped at the opportunity to try these and a few days later, this cute little package arrived:

Right away I loved how everything was packaged. I loved the colors, I loved the logo and the stickers. It was very thoughtfully put together.

I didn't even want to open these packages they were so adorable. But, they had chocolate in them. And my craving for chocolate won out.

In this cardboard box was the cutest chocolates I have ever seen. It was hard to not just start popping them into my mouth one after another. But this is not convenience store chocolate. It's quality chocolate that is meant to be enjoyed, that is meant to be slowly tasted and savored.

My favorites were the lavendar and the burnt caramel. I liked the lavendar since the flavor was so subtle. The chocolate really shined through, and the flavor or the lavendar was enjoyable and not over-powering (which I expected it to be).

The burnt caramel was the chocolate of my dreams. I loved the sweet/sticky/salty in this piece. One bite into this chocolate and you are met with a gooey caramel sauce that has that almost-too-burt-but-perfect taste to it that I can image is hard to achieve. There's just a tiny bit of sea salt sprinkled on the top to make this chocolate very well balanced.

Lavendar

Burnt Caramel

Rose scented Dove

Chambord with Raspberry powder
And here's a shot of all the chocolates, aren't the gorgeous? Especially the mint with it's glittery leaf! We ate every piece of chocolate on this plate and were very, very happy after wards.

I know I am going to order Vianne Chocolat for a special occasion, I also cannot wait to see what Valerie comes up with next!

One more thing, Valerie hosts chocolate parties, how much fun would one of those be!??

  1. Those look SO good! And the packaging really is nice. I may have to order some...you know, after I'm done draining my bank account over the next two weeks. ;)
