I started with a glass of prosecco and we ordered a bottle of pinot noir for the table.

I ordered the chicken for my meal. Chicken is usually the last thing I order at a restaurant but I hadn't had chicken at home in ages! This is the Roasted Giannone Farm Chicken - morroccan spices, rosemary, fried capers, swiss chard, garlic mashed potatoes. It was the perfect comfort meal. The skin was spicy and crispy while the potatoes were soft and silky. The capers added a nice saltiness to the dish as well. I loved it.

After dinner we headed over to Beacon Hill for drinks and dessert at Moo.
I ordered the Lady's Martini - Lilet blonde, fresh lemon, hibiscus syrup, champagne chaser. A little weak, but I liked the hibiscus flavor.
Dessert just had to be Chocolate Stout Cake - dark chocolate cake, chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream. Good thing we split this three ways!
The Blue Room looks fantastic and I love Mooo!
ReplyDeleteI've been to the Blue Room once before and enjoyed it. But Mooo is somewhere I've been wanting to try and just haven't made it there. Maybe I should remind the boyfriend so we can visit sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to the Blue Room. The food looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI want to make the dates stuffed with ricotta at home tonight!
I loved those dates! I could have eaten twenty of them.
ReplyDeleteI've never had dinner at Mooo but Lauren has and she enjoyed it. I would like to go back though, they had a good menu!
Are my eyes closed?! No more pictures of people! =o)
ReplyDeleteit was virtually impossible to get a nice picture of us that night!
