I started my meal with a La Verdad margarita. It was delicious, made with Cuervo 1800, fresh lime juice and agave. Rocks and Salt, the way a margarita should be!

For an appetizer, we shared an order of the guacamole and chips. I loved the chips but the guac was only so-so. I've had - and made - better (no, I am not trying to pick a fight with Ken Oringer!). The avocados were very fresh, and it tasted like it was made to order but I just didn't love it.
For dinner, we each ordered 3 chicken tacos. I love that the tacos come are served in real corn tortillas. Delicious and little bit healthy!
I have eaten at La Verdad before (prior to the Kings of Leon concert in April - maybe this is my go-to place before concerts?!?) but it was way better this time. Maybe because it was a weeknight and hence less crowded? Maybe I just prefer going on out weeknights?! Maybe it was the company?? I don't know but it was good!

I ordered a "beer" and this is what our waiter brought. Muchos gracias.
The food at La Verdad is great, but the prices are Tuesdays can't be beat!Tip: dollar Taco Tuesdays is not offered during Red Sox home games.
After dinner we headed next door to the House of Blues for the Airborne Toxic Event show. This was my first HOB show since it opened! It's a pretty good place to catch a show - especially when you can get tickets for $25.

I love ATE and they put on a really great show. It was fun, but it was a late night. There were two opening acts so I got home.....wait for it...sometime around midnight.

Ah, at least I crack myself up!
