I love Blue Ginger! Love! It's one of the best restaurants in the Boston area (fine, suburbs) and it's in my 'hood. I have been here quite a few times, and have loved it every time. The last two times we went to BG I ordered the black pepper lobster. This time was (finally!) different, but just as good!
First, we had a cocktail at the bar. I had a Blue Ginger Gimlet, my favorite. We didn't have reservations, so we were hoping we could eat at the bar. Unfortunately, it was full but there was a table available in the lounge area - even better since there is a separate lounge menu that we wanted to try.

We ordered a variety of Bings (duck, pork and tofu) and Small plates such as salmon carpaccio with couscous, pork buns (below) and edamame with a soy-yuzu glaze. For the entree, we ordered the duck confit. No brainer.
All of the ingredients are so fresh and beautifully presented at Blue Ginger. And, the best thing of all was that Ming was there! I was so excited. I follow (ok, stalk) him on Twitter and had seen that he was giving a speech somewhere that day. I was pleasantly surprised when he walked by our table - and then spoke to us!! **celebrity sighting**

We enjoyed this (horribly photographed) wine with dinner. Very good.

And even saved room for coffee and dessert. I don't know what they put in the coffee here but it was some of the best restaurant coffee I have ever had!

The pork buns look delicious! What did you order for your cocktail?
